Hi! I'm Sophie. I've worked in growth roles within the charity sector across the last decade. I've been a staff member, a trustee, and a volunteer. I've worked for hyper-local, local, and national charities. I've led teams and delivered sustainable growth, impacted communities, and worked with people to get the best from them. I've used project management techniques to develop systems and processes that support and sustain growth for the long term.
I started Soph For Growth because I believe every charity deserves access to expert consulting. I'm here to be a trusted partner as you navigate growth, overcome challenges, and maximize your impact. As a trans owned business, Soph For Growth is proudly inclusive, and with my work and life experience spanning the spectrum of faith based work and LGBTQ+ life experience, I am uniquely placed to offer inclusive and informed growth support.
Over a decade in the charity sector, I have used my training in leadership, public speaking, and contextualisation to bring transformational growth to projects, change cultures, and build data driven systems and processes that last. I've been a charity employee, a trustee, and I've innovated growth initiatives that saw new, sustainable provision start where none previously existed. In my most recent role, I led growth initiatives across the South with the Scouts as part of a DCMS funded team to deliver inclusive growth in IMD 1-5 areas. I supported the creation of 250+ places while also supporting sprint efforts within our Programme Team, Grants Team, and other internal teams to achieve inclusive growth nationwide.
Inclusive, innovative, sustainable growth that changes lives and brings people hope is where my spark and passion lie. My Masters dissertation focussed around innovation and the conditions for it (specifically in Walt Disney Imagineering through its history of bringing deeply immersive storytelling in physical experiences).
